COMMUNITY SERVICES

Community Services

Services for the Community

RES Home Care offers the following community services through various pay options including TBI/NHTD waivers, certain insurance plans and private pay.

Service Coordination (SC)

All services are managed by RES service coordinators, who monitor all waiver and medical services to ensure each individual's needs are met. Service coordinators assist with maintaining waiver eligibility, medical management and transportation, link individuals to community resources such as housing and therapies, and maintaining benefits such as Medicaid, food stamps, etc.

Independent Living Skills Training (ILST)

For those in need of learning or regaining routine life skills, Independent Living Skills Training is vital. Independent Living Skills Training services allow individuals to be assessed so that a comprehensive plan can be established. Above all, participants should have independent living as their ultimate goal. Training can include areas such as budgeting, organization, cooking, self-care, transportation, and more.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

Often, those who have behavioral difficulties find themselves unable to appropriately respond to events and the environment. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) services allow for an assessment of behavior, creation of a holistic treatment plan, training of family and caregivers, and continued assessments. PBIS assist with such topics as sudden mood fluctuations, difficulty controlling anger, isolating from family and friends, increased impulsivity, challenges adapting to new environments, elopement, lack of motivation or initiation, lethargy, lack of follow through, and poor concentration.

Community Integration Counseling (CIC)

CIC is an individualized service designed to help participants more effectively manage the emotional difficulties associated with adjusting to and living in the community. CIC counseling covers coping with altered abilities and skills, the need to revise long term expectations, and changed roles in relation to significant others. This service is generally provided in the client's home.
