COMMUNITY SERVICES
RES Home Care offers various community services with flexible payment options, including TBI/NHTD waivers, specific insurance plans, and private pay. Our goal is to support individuals through applying for waiver services and more. We understand how overwhelming this process can be, and our team of service coordinators is here to offer friendly assistance every step of the way.
Service Coordinators (SC)
Our wonderful RES Home Care service coordinators take care of it all! They ensure that each person's needs are met by overseeing waiver and medical services. They also help maintain waiver eligibility, manage medical needs and transportation, connect with community resources like housing and therapies, and keep up with benefits such as Medicaid and food stamps.
Our coordinators are also there to assist seniors who are privately paid customers, guiding them through the Aging At-Home program as their needs increase and helping them become eligible for long-term care.
Independent Living Skills Training (ILST)
Independent living skills training is crucial for people who need to learn or relearn essential life skills. These services involve assessing individuals to establish a comprehensive plan, with the ultimate goal of achieving independent living. Training can cover budgeting, organization, cooking, self-care, transportation, and more.
Positive Behavioral Interventions/Supports (PBIS)
Individuals facing behavioral challenges frequently struggle to react appropriately to situations and their surroundings. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS services provide a framework for evaluating behavior, developing a comprehensive treatment plan, training families and caregivers, and conducting ongoing assessments. PBIS addresses issues such as sudden mood swings, anger management difficulties, social withdrawal, heightened impulsivity, trouble adjusting to new settings, running away, lack of motivation or initiative, fatigue, incomplete tasks, and poor focus.
Community Integration Counseling (CIC)
CIC is a tailored service designed to support participants in effectively navigating the emotional challenges associated with community adjustment and living. The counseling provided by CIC focuses on coping with changes in abilities and skills, the need to reassess long-term expectations, and the evolution of roles with significant others. This service is typically delivered in the comfort of the client's home.
